Walk Through Bethlaham
I attend a church called First Baptist Church of Hopewell. My parents and I used to go to church every Sunday. Ever since I got a job three years ago I have not gone since. I kind of miss going and seeing everybody. Eight years ago my church started an event called Walk Through Bethlehem. Its a pretty cool event we do one weekend out of the year. It occurs at the end of November on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It is a re-make of Bethlehem from a long time ago. We started out by putting mulch all over the floor in our large gym. We then put large building props all over to make a path for people to walk through. Next, we put small props to make everything blend together. It is a really cool place! There are pottery shops, basket shops, live market, wood shops and much more! After walking through the town you go outside. Outside we have a huge cave set up with sheep and angels. Shepards are also out there taking care of the animals outside. An angle appears on top of the cave and tells everyone Jesus has been born. When people walk through the cave you see baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph. It takes about fifteen minutes to walk through everything but once your done, we supply food. There is Bethlehem bread and many drinks to choose from. It is free and it is even free to walk through everything! It teaches people about Jesus and it also brings people to join the church. Its a great expirience and worth going to see.
